Rockin' Party Tunes!

The definitive Halloween party song, The Monster Mash, didn't come about until 1962. However, the lead up to this iconic song can be traced from the rockin' doo-wop of the 1950s. Check out The Ultimate Rockin' Halloween Party: American Horror Songs 1930s-1950s for an awesome trip through yesteryear's Halloween novelty songs, including such old school favorites as Purple People Eater, The Blob, and I Put a Spell on You. Thankfully, these are original recordings by the original artists (not those awful "Drew's Hit Crew" re-recordings). Download it from iTunes or Amazon (ahem, $3 cheaper).
